Family Stir Fry Recipe!

Whilst the weather is atrocious in the icy winter season, it does not stop me from cooking some of my favourite meals. I thought I would share with you, my classic family stir fry recipe. It differs from a traditional stir fry recipe, but I assure you it tastes absolutely divine. For the recipe, you will need: one large chicken breast (or two small), 1 ½ cups of white rice, one jar of KanTong Sweet & Sour cooking sauce and ¼ of the jar of water. Also, any specific spices you want to insert, your more than welcome.

Step 1

Put on a large saucepan of water and bring to the boil. Then wash out your 1 ½ cups of rice in a bowl with water. Keep changing the water until it becomes clear. Once water has come to a boil, add in the rice and cook until at the right texture. Once cooked pour in a metal colander and allow for the water to drain. Once drained rinse the cooked rice under cold water from the tap for approximately two minutes. Then place colander with rice still in it in a big bowl and place in the fridge. Allow to cool for two hours (approximately).

Step 2

Cut up chicken into small chunks (no specific size). In a large deep frying pan (or Wok), cook the chicken until it is thoroughly cooked throughout the chunks. Next add the Jar of KanTong Sweet & Sour cooking sauce in with the chicken. Fill KanTong jar ¼ full of water and add to sauce and chicken. Allow to boil until the sauce begins to thicken, remembering to continuously stir. After sauce has thickened remove cooked rice from the fridge

Step 3

Add all your rice into the chicken and sauce and begin to stir the rice into the sauce. Continue do this until all the rice is evenly mixed into the sauce. By now you should have a consistent dish with everything properly combined.

Step 4

Serve the Stir fry into bowls and enjoy!!!

  2. Hello there friend! There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be working in honest good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game.
